121st of Martyrdom Dr. Jose RIzal

Every year, on the 30th day of December, the whole nation observes the death anniversary of our great national hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal. This celebration commemorates the nationalism and martyrdom of him. SNHS faculty and staff, together with other officials and schools, joined the nation to honor him on his 122nd death anniversary held at Talavera, Nueva Ecija Gymnasium. According to President Duterte, "...his (Jose Rizal) writings served as the light that guided our forebears in the fought for genuine equality and independence." Therefore, this year's celebration centered on the theme "Rizal 2017: Mabuting Kaisipan, Susi sa Kaunlaran" which is timely to the status quo of all Filipino youth who did not give any significance in education. The celebration ended with an offering of flowers on the statue of Dr. Jose P. Rizal as a sign of recognizing and acknowledging his good deeds.
